Every Arcara chain is adjustable, so there is nothing to measure and nothing to get wrong. The clasp moves between four lengths.

39 cm
Sits at the base of the throat. The letter is read close to the collarbone and shows above most necklines.

41 cm
Just below the collarbone. This is where most people wear it, and where the letter falls most naturally.

46 cm
Mid-décolleté. The most forgiving length over a shirt or a crew neck, and the one to choose if you intend to layer.

51 cm
The longest. Sits over a shirt or a light knit and reads as a pendant rather than an initial.

Wearing two letters

Choose two lengths a few centimetres apart so the letters sit clear of one another rather than knocking together. 41 and 46 cm is the usual pairing. 39 and 46 cm gives a wider gap if you want each letter read separately.

The pendant

Approximately 2 by 2 cm, and between 3.3 and 7.2 grams depending on the letter — a W weighs rather more than an I. Each one is set with a 0.006 carat diamond, DEF colour and VVS clarity.

If you are unsure

Take a piece of string, hold it where you would like the letter to fall, and measure it against a ruler. Or write to contact@arcaraparis.com and we will help.
